Founders Also Started and Built SonicWALL Into a Leading Internet Security Company
SUNNYVALE, Calif. – October 6, 2004 – Code Green Networks today announced that the company has begun development of an enterprise content security solution that will address one of the greatest challenges organizations now face – protecting sensitive content from unauthorized disclosure by trusted insiders. Founded and funded by Sreekanth Ravi and Sudhakar Ravi, Code Green Networks will deliver a solution that provides real-time enterprise content monitoring and protection and enables the registration, tracking, analysis and safeguarding of confidential information at both the network and client levels. The founders have provided $2 million in seed funding, which will be used in building a research and development team to begin product development.
“Content leaks from within companies are consistently identified as the most frequent and costly type of security breach, but traditional authentication and intrusion prevention products do not shield content from internal threats,” said Sreekanth Ravi, cofounder, chairman, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Code Green Networks . “Code Green Networks will deliver an enterprise content security solution that enables organizations to implement data security policies, at both the network and client levels to mitigate these risks.”
“Companies are realizing that protecting enterprise content from internal threats is complex, and the ever-growing amount and types of data, as well as the range of communication channels and devices, add to the challenge,” said Sudhakar Ravi, cofounder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Code Green Networks. “The Code Green Networks' solution will radically improve how organizations secure enterprise content – both structured and unstructured – by automatically detecting, monitoring and preventing unauthorized disclosure of data.”
