Linux Technical Support Engineer
Sunnyvale, CA

Code Green Networks is seeking a talented Linux Technical Support Engineer who possesses great customer relationship skills combined with in depth technical knowledge (network/mail security). You’ll be able to fully utilize your expertise in customer service management; analytical thinking, structured problem solving and application support, and make a significant contribution to the success of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to enterprise customers
  • Facilitate resolution of technical issues with engineering
  • Support OEM customers by collaborating on tech notes, base articles, FAQs and other materials
  • Collect and document customer requirements for the product management team
  • Travel as required to support high value customers

Requirements:

  • 3 years experience in technical support or pre-sales technical support, as support engineer, sales engineer or equivalent
  • BS in computer science or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in system administration (Linux preferred) or network security
  • Moderate working knowledge of Linux system administration
  • Very comfortable at a Linux bash shell
  • Experience working in a start-up environment
  • Strong customer skills--composed in a role that is customer facing
  • Comfortable working with channel and OEM partners
  • Demonstrated verbal and written analytical/problem solving skills
  • Passionate about service delivery, customer support and customer satisfaction
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and effectively deliver in impromptu and spontaneous situations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work effectively in an early-stage company environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with implementing IDS, Email Security, and Web Proxy technologies
  • Knowledge of Java, and C/C++
  • Knowledge of Linux scripting languages (bash, python, perl)
  • Ability to perform basic queries in a SQL database
  • Familiarity with the structure of common internet protocols and routing (SMTP, HTTP, FTP)
  • Familiarity with tcpdump

Senior Software QA Engineer
Sunnyvale, CA

Code Green Networks is seeking an experienced Senior Software QA Engineer to help ensure the quality of our enterprise class security product-line. QA Engineers work with other developers and support engineers to develop test plans and cases for new features, as well as maintaining and expanding upon the existing test automation infrastructure.

Requirments:

  • 4+ years of enterprise class QA experience
  • 1+ yrs of QA experience with security software application or security appliances (i.e. DLP, firewall, anti virus, anti spam, intrusion detection/prevention)
  • Experience with both Linux/Unix and Windows environments
  • Experience in developing automated test script and test harness using commercial or open-source tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals, in gathering information and communicating direction.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience in using one or more scripting/programming languages (i.e. Ruby, PERL, Java)
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Experience in WebUI test automation development using Selenium or other open source tools
  • Experience to in network performance testing using IXIA or other open source tools

Location To Be Determined - Examining Positions in Southeast Asia, Europe and Latin America

As Code Green Networks continues to expand its overseas presence we are looking for someone to help us understand data protection initiatives in local markets and work with Code Green and local businesses to craft successful DLP solutions. Code Green Networks is seeking an experienced Network Security Specialist to help ensure the quality of our enterprise class security product-line with its international customers. Network Security Specialists will also work with developers and support engineers to develop test plans and cases for new features, as well as maintaining and expanding upon the existing test automation infrastructure. Ideally, candidates will have experience with database management, security software applications and appliances and are in tune with the ever changing data protection landscape.

Requirements:

  • 3+ yrs of experience with security software applications or security appliances (i.e. DLP, firewall, anti virus, anti spam, intrusion detection/prevention)
  • Experience with both Linux/Unix and Windows environments
  • Experience in developing automated test script and test harness using commercial or open-source tools
  • Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and non-technical individuals, in gathering information and communicating direction.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience in using one or more scripting/programming languages (i.e. Ruby, PERL, Java)Investigate alternatives and research development of strategic implementations of infrastructure components; recommend solutions for short, medium, and long range projects.
  • Experience working with encrypted email, web proxy security and common network and system attack methods.
  • Maintains current knowledge with respect to relevant state-of-the-art technology, equipment, and/or systems.
  • Manage performance for scalability and availability. Support department in planning and implementing backups, disaster recovery, and security actions.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
